liked links?
I have several articles i 'like' for re-reading later. is it possible to add a option to only show links marked with a like.
1 voteThere is an option to sort your links by the number of likes. If all your links are private this could work for you. Otherwise this also includes links liked by other users.
To sort your links by “number of likes” you have to manually add parameter sf=LIKES to the URL of your profile. For the Tagpacker profile the URL would look like: https://tagpacker.com/user/tagpacker?sf=LIKESHowever, since manually changing the URL is very cumbersome we’d recommend you to introduce a tag like “re-read-later” or “I like” to filter your links. After re-reading the article just remove the tag.

Search field in "network" mobile view not available
In Browser I am able to search for certain users. In my phone the search field is not available.
Fairphone, Android 6.0.1, Chrome2 votesSo true. We’ll make the search field available in a next version.
As a workaround, in landscape format the search box could be available. -
Give us a way to communicate with other Tagpacker users.
I've been with you all since March 2017 or so but I feel so alone here. I only have two followers in all that time and one of them is YOU (a bot as it were, since you auto-follow all users upon them joining). There is no way to interact with or mingle with other users that I am aware of.
It'd be nice to say hello to people from time to time and tell them "Hey I really dig this Tagpacker service, don't you?!" ..."Any chance you may have some good links for such and such, blah, blah, blah" and so on.
But yeah, without any interaction with other people it really does feel like we're the only one here. I know you have to worry about bots and spammers with some form of chat platform but one way to mitigate that from happening is to a time limit on when the chat opens up such as after three months of being a User combined with a link upload history spanning three months.
So for example I have been here since March or April 2017 and though I went inactive for a month or two I started uploading links again and I have a history of activity showing I upload a few links every couple of days or so for the last two months. So the chat would open up for me to use because I have been a Tagpacker user since March/April and I also have a history of actively uploading links every now and again in all of that time.

0 votesThanks for sharing your thoughts, and for being a Tagpacker user since March :)
Currently, we support different way to get in touch with other users with similar interests.
1. https://tagpacker.com/network is your “Network Dashboard”. It shows the latest links of users you follow. On the left side you have “Tag channels”. If you click on a channel, lets say “Productivity”, you filter links tagged “Productivity”.
Below the channels there is a section “Users posting to this channel”. It only contains users you are not following yet.2. When you click the share button of a link, you can recommend that link to one of your followers (“Recommend to your followers on Tagpacker”). Also, you can add a personal message.
We’re planning to extend that feature to allow unregistered users to recommend links for your collection. But this is still in planning.(3.) In one of the next versions we’ll support link comments. This is currently under development but there is no release date yet.
But you are right, there could be more/other ways to get in touch with other users.
If there are enough votes we could implement your chat feature proposal. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and for being a Tagpacker user since March :)

Improve the way your channels work.
What I mean is let's say I was interested in everything people are saying about President Trump so I would have to add a channel called Donald Trump, Donald J. Trump, President Trump, President Donald Trump, Trump, Donald and so on.
Same thing for topics involving the United States. I would have to create channel tags for USA, US, United Stated, United States of America, America and so forth.
Or for recipes - I currently have two channels for that: Recipe and Recipes.
I should just be able to use one and have it pull up everything else automatically. Recipe channel tag would pull up everything tagged recipe, and recipes. Trump should be able to pull up all those examples I listed up above, same with USA.
As it is, this makes our tag channel list just as long as our own tag list, we'd have to scroll and scroll and scroll just to find the channel tag we want to search for.
I'm tired now, rofl ...all that scrolling! =)

1 voteThis is a great idea, thx!
Let’s say we have one channel with tags “Trump” and “D. Trump”.
Then this channel would filter links tagged either “Trump” or “D. Trump”, or tagged with both “Trump” and “D. Trump”, correct? -
Pages instead of scrolling
Instead of scrolling, browse the bookmarks through pages (with numbers).
22 votesCurrently not planned. But if there are enough user votes, we could implement it.

Group links for better management
Possibility to group links in different folders
2 votesInstead of folder, we use tags to organize/classify links as we think they give you more flexibility. Once you have some tags, you can create tagpacks. Tagpacks group tags of the same kind. For example:
Tagpack: Years
Tags included: 2015, 2016, 2017
This way, you can create a multi-dimensional classification of your link collection, also called faceted classification.
Here is an example on how you could use tags and tagpacks: https://tagpacker.com/user/tagpacker -
Create an area where we can see all the recent links people are uploading.
I have no idea what sort of links people are uploading and this means I miss a lot of opportunities to find something very interesting or helpful to me.
The only two ways I know of to discover links on Tagpacker is to follow someone and hope they have some that I need and hope that they are still active and uploading more so I get notified about them, or I have to sit there at the monitor and think up words to search for.
Other link sharing sites have this type of feature and I find it very resourceful. There are so many things in this great big world of ours to discover and read about but I feel excluded from it all here on Tagpacker, as if we each in a room with no windows and doors to see out of.
Don't get me wrong, I like Tagpacker and I'm planning on sticking around; I got 5,000+ links to upload and I am doing them one by one so I can tag them all the way I like -- but I get bored doing that quite easily because it's very mundane work and time consuming so I like to take breaks once in a while and it would be neat to see what else is getting added to Tagpacker whether I follow those people or not.

1 voteWe had this feature for a while.
But some “people” (or bots) used it to post spam links. So we decided to disable it.However, as we also think it’s an important feature we should find a way to exclude spam links from “the global link stream”.
Any thoughts on this?
We thought about somethink like trending links or trending tags.

User statistics
User statistics so we can see who is interacting with the things we've tagged and in what ways.
1 voteHi Rebecca,
currently each link shows the number of views (how many people clicked on it – your own clicks excluded), the number of likes and repacks (you should also get email notifications for the latter two). If you have further ideas for statistics, please let us know.
Cheers,

Visibility for friends only/group function
I want my friends and partners to follow and see my links and tags when they are private/not visible to the world = adding a third category: 1. public, 2. private, 3. friends.. (have to multi-choose groups/people) - social media function to manage friends in circles/groups/tags would be great for that.

Tag people while packing links
Tag people in link posts

A link to a user in the link description or using for instance @chris as a tag?
